Cause

Building a Fisher House for Michigan

Fisher Houses provide free lodging for the families of veterans who qualify when they are receiving treatment.

Zero

Michigan has zero Fisher Houses. Other states have five (5) or more. They are a necessary part of our support network for our veterans. Visit the Fisher House Foundation web site for more information.

No State has done more

Michigan residents have been on the front line since the War of 1812. No state has done more to serve our country and ensure our national security than the men and women of Michigan.

Fisher house

These homes are located at major military and VA medical centers nationwide, close to the medical center or hospital they serve. Fisher Houses have up to twenty-one suites, with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a warm dining room and an inviting living room. Fisher House Foundation ensures that there is never a lodging fee. Since inception, the program has saved military and veterans’ families an estimated $320 million in out of pocket costs for lodging and transportation.
